Dr. Todd Still, Interim Pastor
B.A., Baylor University; M.D.V., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; Ph.D., University of Glasgow
Dr. Todd Still serves as the William M. Hinson Professor of Christian Scriptures in the George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University. He is also the Charles J. and Eleanor McLerran DeLancey Dean and holds the William M. Hinson Chair of Christian Scriptures. Dr. Still is married to Carolyn, his wife of over twenty years. They, along with their two sons, Samuel and Andrew, live in Waco. Apart from work, Dr. Still enjoys gardening, golfing, watching Baylor Bear athletics, playing with his family's many pets, and traveling. Jill Fulghum, Associate Pastor

Jill has been ministering at Southland since April of 1991. She has served as the Youth Minister, Minister of Education, and now as Associate Pastor. She has a deep love for the church and for seeing people connect to God's work in the world. Jill has an incredible son named Will.
Dr. Tim Lyles, Associate Pastor

Tim has been at Southland since August of 2011. Before ministering at Southland, Tim served churches in San Marcos, Seminole, Mertens, and Clifton, Texas. Tim enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and rooting for the Baylor Bears.
Dr. Matt Walton, Associate Pastor

Since joining the staff as Youth Minister in April of 2007, Matt and his wife Kristie have had an immediate impact on the ministry at Southland. Matt has a heart for missions, discipleship, Cubs baseball, and his two children, Evan and Finley (not particularly in that order).
Susan Beaty, Preschool Minister
Susan has been with Southland since April of 2015. Susan and husband, Stacy, have been active members of our church since November, 2009. They've served in many areas of our church, and their five children are involved in both our preschool and our children's ministries. Susan is excited about this new chapter in her life. She's looking forward to experiencing all that God has for her and our church as she lives out a call to professional ministry that she first experienced in high school.
Janet Abernathy, Children's Minister
B.A., Angelo State University, currently working on M.A. in Children's Ministry at Dallas Baptist University
Janet has been directing children's ministries at Southland since May 2010. She has a passion for children and their families, Vacation Bible School, and Kid's Camp. Janet is married to Bryan, and they enjoy life with their four beautiful children, Kaden, Mary-Kate, Everly, and Pippa. She likes to sew, travel, craft, and read when she has spare time.
Sam Gurley, Youth Minister
B.A., Baylor University; M.Div., Truett Seminary at Baylor University
Sam has been at Southland since August of 2014. Before ministering at Southland, he served as Associate Pastor of Youth and Education at Calvary Baptist Church in Midlothian. He has also provided leadership in churches in Elm Mott, Woodway, Waco, and Crawford. Sam and his wife, Alexis, are excited to be at Southland and eager for a chance to serve God in the community of San Angelo. Sam has a heart for preparing students to have a strong faith in Christ and preparing them for life outside of the home after high school. He also enjoys spending time with Alexis and his son, Levi, rooting for the Baylor Bears, being goofy, playing video games, reading nerdy books, and going to matinee movies.
Terry Waller, Director - Water for all
Terry and Kathy Waller have been staff missionaries in Bolivia with Southland Baptist since 2001. Previously, the Wallers served overseas through the International Mission Board of the SBC. Terry has created an innovative well-drilling technique that is now in demand throughout the world. Through his Water for All ministry, Terry and his partners have drilled over 2000 wells in over a dozen countries. Water for All currently has permanent work in both Bolivia and Ethiopia. Kathy's work with HOPE Bolivia, an economic development program for Bolivian women of the world find economic independence and personal dignity. Southland considers having the Wallers on board to be one of the greatest blessings God has given to Southland.
