Southland helps to support numerous missionaries through sharing our resources with Baptist agencies in Texas and through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. But did you know that we also directly support several missionary families all over the world? One of these is the Boucher family, Jeremy, Sarah, Thad, Chandler, Ella, and Abigail Boucher serve through Kids Alive International. They live and serve with Dar El Awlad (DEA) Children's Home and School in Beirut, Lebanon. Jeremy teaches math, science, and Bible, and Sara serves as a photographer and manages the DEA Facebook page.
July 7-16 we will take a mission team to serve with the Bouchers in DEA. Please be in prayer for our group as we serve.
Our Team Members are:
Stan & Lynne Joynton
Scott & Shelley Blanton
Javier & Daisy Sanchez
While there, our team will run a VBS-style program, recreation and craft activities, as well as take the boys on a field trip to the Sea. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to learn how the Arab Baptist Seminary in Beirut is training pastors who serve throughout the Middle East, and we will visit the Syrian refugee camps in the Bekaa Valley.
