Chris Curran was called to Pastor Southland Baptist Church in March 2018. Before ministering at Southland, Chris served churches in Katy, Hearne, Houston, Sugar Land. Chris and his wife, Brooke have two daughters: Carly and Allie.

Elias Garcia recently joined the Southland leadership team in May 2022. Before ministering at Southland, Elias served churches in Houston, Brownwood, Plainview, and Memphis, TN. Elias has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Howard Payne University and a Master of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Vennessa, have two children, Anika and Aren. He is an avid sports fan and loves playing disc golf.

Janet Abernathy joined the Southland leadership team in 2010. She has a passion for children and their families, Vacation Bible School, and Kid's Camp. Janet is married to Bryan, and they enjoy life with their five beautiful children, Kaden, Mary-Kate, Everly, Pippa, and Brighton.

Evan Fleming was recently called to Southland in June 2023. Before ministering at Southland, he servied in Victoria, TX. He and his wife, Lorien, have two children, Taron and Kai. He loves spending time with famliy, rooting for the San Antonio Spurs and Baylor Bears, reading, and playing music.

Becky Ethington joined the staff of Southland in September 1994. Becky has been with Southland for 29 years. She’s a proud mother and grandma. Becky loves to do yard work and watch her grandkids play sports.

Lisa Dillard joined the staff of Southland in April 2009. She graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Science. She has had 18 years of experience as a church secretary. Lisa is married to Jackie, and they have two sons, Kyle and Austen, and one grandson, Leon.

Cindy Eoff is a recent addition to our staff. She began her career in 2003 as Ministry Assistant/Office Administrator for First Baptist Church in her hometown of Dublin, Texas. After 13 years, her and her husband relocated and God blessed her with an opportunity to serve at First Baptist Church in Midland, Texas for the next six years. With a desire to live closer to family, a transition to San Angelo and a job at Southland Baptist Church was the opening they were looking for.  Cindy is married to her high school sweetheart, Danny, and they have two daughters, sons in law and six grandchildren.

Nicole Garcia joined the Southland staff in June of 2021. She graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. She has a great passion for people, especially those of Southland, and strives for close community with others. Nicole is married to Lucas with one sweet baby girl.
