Southland Baptist Church is seeking a Worship Pastor to lead and develop a complete worship strategy for our local body of believers. The Worship Pastor will develop a multi-faceted approach through choirs, orchestra, a worship band, vocalists, that is unique to the worship expression of our congregation. Southland has 2 distinct services (traditional choral/orchestral and contemporary worship band) with a total membership of approximately 500 and affirms the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message.

·        Lead the congregation to experience the power and presence of God through worship.

·        Provide a sense of continuity and intentionality across all worship experiences.

·        Oversee all aspects of the worship planning process for regularly scheduled services or special events, including coordination of worship team members, worship band, choir/orchestra, audio/visual/lighting, and any other special facility setup requirements.

·        Recruit, develop, lead, and/or oversee a comprehensive music program for all ages within the church.

·        Recruit, develop, lead, and/or oversee staff and volunteers to ensure audio/visual/lighting needs/requirements for an effective worship experience are achieved.

·        Work with staff and ministry volunteers to prepare and implement annual budgets.

·        Provide pastoral care and other ministerial responsibilities.

·        Participate in ministerial staff meetings and other meetings/rehearsals.

·        Other duties as needed.
